I should have known better

I expected to be finished my quilting by noon as I was up early and in my studio before eight. I got a bit sidetracked though with my plans to make a couple of different pixelated pieces. I played a bit in my quilting software and I think I have come up with a couple of ideas that will work. They need to be fine-tuned yet, but I’m ready to move on from Mario and Luigi.

It was late afternoon before I finished quilting and binding on this first set of Mario and Luigi. I decided before I put everything away I should cut out the strips that I’m going to need for my next round. I revised my notes and did a little math and I’ll be ready to start cutting tomorrow. I don’t want to cut the individual pieces yet; I only want to cut strips that will give me the length I need in each colour and I’ll cut the smaller pieces when I’m ready to start sewing them.

When I was done the quilting I noticed a small “boo boo” on my Mario project. In an attempt to fix that mistake I have created a major “boo boo”. I will finish stitching the binding and hope I am able to sort it out. I’m not quite ready to tell you how foolish I was; it sounded like a sensible solution at the time though!

I needed to do an update to my website and decided I would change things up a bit. Now I’ve run into a problem and I need Pat to sort it out for me; if it is a quick fix maybe I can corner him later tonight. In the meantime I’m off to get birthday surprises ready for the mail.
