I’ve been lucky enough to see a couple of Cirque du Soleil’s performances and this 3D movie was almost like being there. As in all of their shows, there is a storyline running through it. The film is a montage of recorded performances on various stages in Las Vegas, where the troupe was performing live. At first I thought focusing in on the screen and the act they were showing would be less distracting than the live performances where there is always something going on at the sides or in the background. And then I decided I wanted to see more of the interesting things I was seeing at the sides and in the background. The music, as always, was great.
