It’s taking forever

Tuesday, January 8, 2013

I’m fighting a cold so I decided to skip the Tuesday bee. I stitched with many members of the Tuesday group on the weekend so I didn’t feel like there was any catching-up to do. I’m working on my tie quilt in the evenings while we watch TV, but it is my applique quilt that I’m worried about finishing.

I stitched on it most of the day and I’m still working on the block I started on this morning. There are three more blocks to do so there won’t be any time to spare. I have to get the top finished and ready for photographing before the Guild business meeting in February. I haven’t yet reached the point that I want to give up, but I’m prepared that it might happen.

I mentioned yesterday that my printer stopped working. Pat and I talked about moving the downstairs printer upstairs but it isn’t capable of colour. When I’m printing sheets for the Guild or the project sheets for my own binder I need (want) to have colour. We have an industrial colour printer in the basement that we haven’t hooked up since our move. I did some measuring today and thought about ways I might be able to move my studio around to accommodate it. I think I can make it fit so that will be tomorrow’s task.

We’re off to the movies tonight.
