That was painful

It was a sunny day today – not much wind and no rain (so far). The town held their Santa Claus Parade today and I’m glad they got good weather. I usually go to it but this year I had some shopping to do so I decided to get that done while everyone else was at the Parade.

I spent all morning in my studio. I really needed to get one more thing done before I was ready to start wrapping. And that one thing took all morning and a bit of the afternoon. Stacia and Deloise may remember the Advent Calendar I ordered from the Camrose Quilt Shop after our trip to Panorama. At the time you warned me that those pieces were pretty tiny. Even after doing a lot of paper-piecing since then I was seriously challenged. What I wanted to do is done though so I’m happy. The question now is will I move ahead and make as many pieces as I originally planned.

I stopped to see Margaret today. I think she is bored, but she says she doesn’t feel like reading and I don’t know what else to give her to do. She has a crossword puzzle book that she works on so maybe I will buy her a Word Search. She might like that for a change. As I was leaving they came to tell her she was moving back to Maternity.

I finished up a bit of Guild work today. When the color cartridge on my printer ran out of ink I decided I was going to take my printing to Staples . Then I remembered that I had given my Staples card to another Guild member so she could print tickets for the Quilt Show raffle. I bought a cartridge while I was out and did the printing when I got home. In the process of changing cartridges I also changed my printer set up. I found the top shelf on my new desk was too high to be handy so I moved the printer up there. That freed up some space on my side cupboard/bureau. I’ll live with things this way for a bit and then see if I need to make any more changes.

Our friend Geoff came over to play music with Pat this afternoon. His wife is in Costa Rica so he stayed and had supper with us. Once I finish cleaning up I have lots of projects that need the binding hand stitched.
