Homework’s done

Friday, October 5, 2012

Even though we slept in (all the way to seven) we had still managed to go out for breakfast, do a little shopping and be back home by 9:30. The wheelbarrows were on sale at Canadian Tire so Pat got one of those and I got a few storage boxes for a few more projects.

When we got home I headed up to my studio and finished cutting out my new project. After that was done I settled in to do some Guild work – both quilt show and membership. And since I was at the computer I did some updates on my Project binder. I got my suitcase out to see how much I could fit into it, and realized it wouldn’t be big enough! I guess I’ll have a few parcels to send off before I leave.

Finally, late this afternoon, I got down to some sewing. I was trying out a few decorative stitches but decided I didn’t like them for what I was working on. I think simpler will be better, and it will certainly be faster and take less thread. And don’t even get me started on how hard those stitches are to unstitch!

I’m getting my evening to veg in front of the TV tonight. I’ve finished my knitting assignment for the week – my socks are ready for the crochet cast-off and after thought heel.
