Look at that empty calendar

Monday, October 1, 2012

I was surprised when I checked the calendar this morning and realized there was absolutely nothing listed for today. I’m usually free if I don’t have a BOND lunch to prepare, but it is seldom that neither Pat nor I have something we have to/need to do. So, as in the “old” days when I worked, a snow day or a kid’s sick day meant the laundry got done!

Pat and I worked on our photo book for some of the morning. It is amazing that we enjoyed all that time together in Italy, but compiling this photo book may do us in! I still have some work to do on the text for the last few days of the trip, and Pat is adding the photos that match the text I have already written. As long as we are in our respective spaces we just might get through this.

I spent the afternoon working on my Hallowe’en projects. Having the same block to do three times gave me a chance to try out a few different options on Ruby. I think I have sorted out the stitch length for my zigzags, and I’ve found one of about 14 of the applique stitches that I really like. Some of my work is a little rough around the edges but I guess with a Hallowe’en theme I can get away with it.

Pat has a movie taped for this evening so I’ll get out my knitting. I’m not sure I’ll be ready for the crochet cast-off tomorrow, but I’ll be close.
