I had three things I wanted to get done today. First I was going to do some paperwork and get Pat’s bookkeeping off to the accountant. Then I was going to spend a little time on a Hallowe’en project (or three), but mostly I wanted to spend some time knitting. The weather was cooperating because it was dull and cloudy all day.
Just before I was ready to go up to my studio, Pat asked me to help him set up for the House Concert next Friday. We have a sold-out show but there were some folks on the waiting list that we wanted to get in if we had space. We moved all the furniture in the living-room around, took out some of the coffee tables and set up every chair, stool and bench we could find in the house (and some that we borrowed). We did the count and we were able to sell five more tickets! Of course we had to put everything back together again when we were done.
I was to have taken Margaret for an appointment this morning, but she called and said she had another ride. So there was still lots of time left in the morning to finish the paperwork, right? Sadly, no. I had problems scanning and spent several hours trying to “make it work”, and then more hours finding a work-around. Finally, just as Pat called me for dinner, I was able to get everything sent to the accountant.
I don’t want to start the day tomorrow with piles of filing so I’ll do a bit of clean-up in my studio tonight before settling in for an evening of knitting.
