I was back in the kitchen at BOND today. I made tacos so it was a relatively stress-free meal. We have a new coordinator with the group – Jen is off on maternity leave. Courtenay is a nursing graduate who moved here recently from Kamloops. We were teasing her that she is the fourth coordinator in two years, and the others all left on mat leave!

When I’m looking for ideas for my fruit trays I usually pass on the pineapple because I don’t really know how to cut it. Courtenay spent some summers working in a juice and melon bar and she said if I bought a pineapple she would show me how to cut it. She was very quick getting the job done and, unlike when I do it, there wasn’t juice and peelings all over the place. Next up I’m going to have her show me how she cuts melons.

There was time for a short nap before dinner and then we were off for a double feature at the movies. I’ll post my reviews tomorrow – perhaps time will give me a better perspective!
