Chicken Chow Mein was on the menu at BOND today and it turned out quite well. There was only one serving left so I’m improving on my quantities. For some of the weeks I was gone the group leaders had to do the cooking. One of them told me that the last time they were without a volunteer they just ordered pizza! They must have missed me because I even had one of them helping me with the dishes – that’s a first.
I came home to find that the Kathaumixw (the choral festival) people had dropped off some information. We will be billeting two people from the Philippines. We are responsible for giving them breakfast and a bagged lunch, and driving them to their first session each day. I’ll have to put a bit of effort into making their lunches – it’s been a long time since I packed a lunch for anyone.
I stitched up three cards this evening. I’m late on one card and the other two will be late if I don’t get them in the mail soon. I also packed up parcels for Kathryn and Elizabeth. I’ll get them in the mail on my way to or from quilting tomorrow. There isn’t much evening left, but I think I’ll do some stitching on the binding for my cookie tin project.
