I spent the morning sorting through photos of our first two days in Rome. At this rate I may finish my sorting by Christmas! For many of the photos I just have a rough idea of the names of things or places. From those scraps of information I’m searching the Internet to get more details. In some cases I’m able to find what I want; in other cases I have to ask Pat to help me. I can’t find my way around with a map, and I’m no better trying to retrace my steps with Google Street View.
I had my first Red Cross shift today and I was happy to see Margaret. She is doing fine, although I didn’t think her walking was as good as it had been. She has such awful pain in her legs, but she got out a walker and toddled off down the hallways for some exercise. It wasn’t a busy day, but Margaret and I had lots to chat about so the time went by quickly.
I was determined to get something done once I got home, but I managed to put it off until the very late afternoon. I stirred myself enough to get back to my photos. As I mentioned I’m on Day 2 in Rome, which included the Coliseum and the Forum (among other ruins). I smiled when I found this photo – in fact a couple of folks from the tour actually ate at this pub.
