Something old …

… something new and a couple of finishes as well.

Ahh – Venice. This was my favourite spot on our Italy tour. We wandered streets never really knowing how to get from one place to another but we were never entirely lost. We visited a couple of other islands in the Venetian Lagoon – one known for their glass blowing and one known for their lace making. But there were so many others that we didn’t have time for. I think we’ll have to go back.

I spent the morning sewing the binding down on a couple of projects. I planned to start my new Diamond Dots project (a birthday present) after lunch but Pat headed out to split some logs and I felt I should help him. He said I didn’t need to but he knows me well enough that it was unlikely I’d sit inside while he did the work.

Now that is done (for the day) I’m going to get started on the Diamond Dots. After supper I’ll switch to a stamped cross stitch that I’ve work on here, off and on, for several months. I doubt it will be a finish but it will have a few more stitches.
