I see from the cover of my book that this story is coming to Netflix so I’m glad I read it beforehand.

Sadie, Will and their two children have inherited a house in Maine due to the suicide of Will’s sister. They have also taken over custody of Will’s niece who isn’t particularly happy to see them. Sadie, a doctor, finds it hard to settle into their new life and when a neighbour down the street is murdered she gets a little paranoid. It doesn’t help when it appears that the local detective considers her a prime suspect.

All the way through the book I had several suspects in mind (and even guessed a small part of the story) but the ending was a surprise.

I was torn on the rating of this one but when in doubt I went with the higher rating.
