I’m enjoying seeing lots of photos of fathers on Facebook today. When I think of father figures in my life most of them are gone as well as many of the fathers of my own generation. I think of Dad almost every day as I go about my business – things he would enjoy seeing or doing or things that I can almost hear him make a comment about. Pat heard from all the girls today; we had calls from two of them while we were out at the Farmer’s Market so the reception was so much better than it would have been had we been home.
I finished the last of my sewing projects today. When I was packing I didn’t really expect I’d get everything done. I added a lot of little pieces to various leader and ender projects too. I’ll put my sewing away now and concentrate on the cross stitch projects.
We’re going out for supper tonight at the small cafe on the island; they are serving a turkey dinner for Father’s Day. It is a hot one today but I may see if I can find a bit of shade and do a little reading.
