Pat and I headed down the hill this morning for a cinnamon bun and coffee. It was spitting rain when we left the café, but we walked the long way home. I enjoyed peeking into the yards to see what was growing. When we came home I was able to see that our yard isn’t too shabby either. Usually I see only the work that needs to be done, but you need to stop and enjoy the moment every now and again.
I got a lot accomplished in my studio this afternoon but my workspace is a disaster. I have two cards completed and another ready for quilting, and my first hexie block is ready for hand stitching. I have trimmings all over the desktop, and there are tins for cards and strings open and lying about. There are open boxes of clips, quilting pins and flat head pins among the mess. And I have a whole lot of hexie templates that need to find a home (probably in a baggie).
Pat helped me enable comments on my website today so please let me know what you think about how I’m spending my time.
You should clean your room 😉
Love the look of the sewing space. Wait till Deloise and I add to the clutter. Most of all though I like the look of the blossoms coming in your yard.
I’m thinking it’s a good thing you retired – you’d never have found the extra six to ten hours a day that you now spend on your new ‘hobby’.
