A little work, a little fun

Since I didn’t get my paperwork looked after yesterday it was first on my list this morning. It was just a few minutes before noon when it was done and I headed out to the store to pick up a few things. When I got home, Pat had some of his musical friends over for a practice session so I couldn’t do my cleaning – too bad!

Once I had updated my Pinterest account I decided to stitch some cards as I need quite a few made to cover the time when we are away. I wanted to try a “quilt as you go” concept and I made two cards very quickly. I also wanted to try out a couple of binding ideas I got from the session last night. The first test for the binding should have worked, but somehow I got the pieces twisted and ended up having to take it out. The second binding was done as I would normally do it but, again, I had things twisted and had to fix it. Perhaps I didn’t pay enough attention to the demo last night!

Tomorrow I hope to work on my online Blocks of the Month. If there is time after that I may tackle some more cards or do what I know I am avoiding – quilting. If only all projects could be done on a quilt-as-you-go basis!
