That’s unusual

Sunday, February 7, 2021

I couldn’t believe the time when I woke up this morning. It was 8:30 and what woke me up was the sun shining in through the window. Not only is it unusual for me to sleep that late, but also unusual to have such bright sunshine in the morning (we don’t often see the sun until late morning or afternoon).

It was time for some cleaning in my sewing room so I got at that first thing. I folded and put away some fabric; I pressed (but didn’t trim) 25 sets of blocks for my scrappy quilt and then I vacuumed. I pressed the quilt I’m going to be working on next. It is my February UFO and since I’m working at something until I finish it I guess I’ll be at it for several days.

For the rest of the afternoon I finished Week 5 of my stitch-along, as well as finishing the first clue in my Neglected Floss series. I started adding the borders on that project as well.

I’ve earned some reading time before supper. My book is so good – much better than the Netflix series.
