Earlier this afternoon the title of this piece was going to be “What a great day” but I didn’t have a great afternoon and I needed to blame it on something (not me!).
I worked on a 12-Days project this morning until it was time to go for my shingles vaccine. My plan then was to come home, have lunch and spend the first part of my afternoon finishing up my Hex-Along and maybe finish off a knitting project. I had a couple of seasons of an old favourite to watch on Amazon Prime so I was set.
Four hexies had to be stitched together added to two other hexies and then attached to the “mother ship”. I put them together in sets of three but when I went to attach them they didn’t fit. I realized I might have stitched the four pieces together wrong so I took them apart. Then I lay them out again and I still couldn’t see what was wrong. Eventually, by supper time, I had managed to see my error, put it right and get them attached. I still need to attach this centre to a background but for now the hardest part is done.
I’m almost afraid to post this picture to the Facebook group in case I made another mistake. If I did, it’s too late and I won’t be fixing it.
And you are wondering about the side effects? The pharmacist warned me that this shingles shot might give me more problems than the flu shots I regularly get – flu-like symptoms for a couple of days. So far I’m good but I’m wondering if it was the shingles shot that made me stupid!
