The perfect project

Sunday, March 25, 2012

I finished the two cards this morning before lunch. On a good day I usually make two cards before the morning is over – these particular two took me two days!

I felt well enough to continue stitching, but I didn’t trust myself with anything very complicated so I went to work on my string quilt. The lines don’t need to be straight, the colors don’t need to match and the pieces can be cut to any size and width I want. The perfect project when you are under the influence of cold medication.

Community Quilt 2012

I was surprised at how quickly the blocks went together. Mind you I had all the foundation pieces and strings pre-cut. This will eventually be a community quilt. Our Spring community quilting bee is coming up next weekend so I’ll have a head start.
