I started the morning by getting all the paperwork sorted out for out income tax returns. I’ll get the package in the mail to the accountant on Monday morning.

Today was supposed to be a fun day in the studio. I had a couple of cards I wanted to make, and then I was going to move on to my Blocks of the Month. Maybe I am still too sick to sew, maybe it is the drugs I’m on to keep my nose from running (which aren’t working), or maybe I’m just having one of those days – but nothing was working for me.

One of the cards took a long time to piece together, and when it was done I didn’t like the way it looked and it went into the garbage. The other card looked good until I started to quilt it. I haven’t tossed it yet, but I decided it would be best to leave the rest of my sewing for another day.

It was a lovely afternoon to sit in the sunshine and read. If I keep up this pace the pile on my bedside table will be gone in no time.
