I’ve spent the afternoon cross stitching. I had more or less lost interest in my project – a Thunderbird – and I thought it was because after the Princess with so, so many colours switching to a project with only four colours wasn’t very interesting. The small project I’ve been working on in my chair downstairs has only one colour so getting back to the Thunderbird seems less boring.
I took a break from stitching to check Facebook and I’m shocked to see that a Snowbird has crashed. We look forward to their usual Spring training in Comox as they publish their practice schedule and we are able to watch them. This year their training was cancelled but I was certain their Operation Inspiration would bring them to Comox.
Just yesterday Michelle (Diane’s daughter) and I were chatting about seeing them in Yellowknife. She posted a photo of them doing their fly over yesterday and then when I check in today she shared the news that one had crashed on their way over to Comox.
