Week 4 – Day Three

Thursday, April 9, 2020

According to the news this morning this self-isolation may last for a few more months – it is getting harder and harder to keep track of what day of the week it is and how many days it has been since I’ve physically been in the company of anyone but Pat!

I wanted today’s block to be a bit Easter-ish. All of the fabric comes from Diane’s bin – she liked florals and I had lots of colours to choose from.

Most of my morning was spent making cinnamon buns. After the disaster yesterday I was pleased with the process of making the dough with my Kitchen Aid mixer. We were able to have warm cinnamon buns for dessert with lunch (we never have dessert with lunch) and they were very good. Not as good as Mum’s but I think they were as good as Christy’s. They don’t take the place of the Hot Cross Buns I wanted but I’ll get over that.

For the rest of the day I’ve been quilting on one of my donation quilts. It is taking a long time even though the quilting pattern is quite simple. Oh well, I have nothing but time!
