You’ve heard the saying … Cleaning and scrubbing can wait ’til tomorrow. I had been waiting for tomorrow for far too long so I spent a good part of yesterday (Monday) cleaning and scrubbing and doing laundry. It was a nice day so when I had to go out to the post office and the library I chose to walk. When I got back home it was time to get ready for my evening meeting.
Today I was back at the sewing bee – working on cards again. I took my Seminole quilt to show the ladies and a couple said that I had inspired them to finish theirs. I’m glad I wasn’t the only one who put off working on it. I took along some binding that I was going to get ready for a donation quilt but I’m glad I didn’t have time to get to it because I remembered I had another fabric that might look better with the two sides of the quilt.
I had a lot of errands to run after quilting today. There were visits to both the bottle depot and the recycle depot as a result of cleaning the laundry room. I have been collecting items for the thrift shop for a couple of months and dropped them off today. I had some wool I planned to give to a friend who lives in Cranberry but I was lucky enough to see his partner at the thrift store so I gave it to him and saved myself a trip. I had medications to pick up, a receipt to drop off for the Hall, and a photo I needed to take of an acknowledgement plaque that we are going to more or less copy for the Hall. I had time to stop and pick up some new soaps from my favourite soap maker as I gave my last one away as a gift at the bee this morning.
I’d like to sit and do nothing (or at least sit and play games) but I still have the Guild blog to write and there is a lot of work from last night’s Hall meeting that needs to be done. But no more cleaning and scrubbing until at least tomorrow.
