This is the first book in the Shetland series, although it isn’t the first Shetland book I’ve read. It is also the basis of the first Shetland series that we’ve seen on Netflix.

This book introduces the entire crew, as well as the elusive woman who will become Perez’s wife. I say elusive because she didn’t appear in any of the Netflix shows and I know at some point she is murdered. I’ll keep reading until I find some answers.
