My task for today was to get to the recycle depot, the bottle depot, and get the photos printed for the quilt show forms. I finished at the recycle depot and when they wouldn’t take my light bulbs I had to make a stop at Rona. Rona and the mall where the Walmart store is are more or less across the street from one another so I parked and walked over to Rona. From there I walked to the mall, mailed a letter, and headed to Walmart for my photos.
There was only one empty kiosk when I arrived but I was quick and mine were the first to come off the machine. Prints are cheaper if you choose the one-hour option as opposed to printing them yourself from the kiosk. I always pick the one-hour option but I don’t think I’ve ever had to wait more than five minutes for them to print. I paid for the photos and before I left I decided to see if they had turned out; the logistics team need to see the whole quilt and I wanted to be sure all the photos had lined up okay.
OMG – when I looked at my Farmer’s Wife Sampler photo I could see that I had missed some sashing. I felt absolutely sick and headed straight home. On the way I had my fingers crossed that I had just taken the wrong file to print. When I looked in my photo files I only had photos of the top missing the sashing and nothing showing that it had been fixed. I started to think I had fixed part of the top but had still missed some sashing.
Again, with fingers crossed, I unfolded the top and was relieved to see that all the blocks had been done right; I guess I neglected to take a photo when I had it all fixed. Whew!
I have a Board meeting tonight so until it is time to head out for that I’ll make sure I’m packed up for tomorrow’s bee.
