I spent the morning quilting. I wanted to get as much as possible done before I had to move my operation back to my studio. I think I have all of the straight line stitching done but I’ll check it again before I say for sure. Sometimes I need fresh eyes to see spots that I have missed. If they are done, I’ll have to psych myself up for the free motion quilting that remains.
Margaret and I went out for coffee today. She goes in for surgery on Monday and I thought she might need a few groceries for when she comes home in case she doesn’t feel like going out. She picked up a few things, but I’m pretty sure she doesn’t plan to be “down and out” for very long!
When I got home I got busy and did a week’s worth of cleaning in a couple of hours. There are still a few threads here and there (and everywhere) but at least the surfaces are back to their usual clutter. I have my gear packed up for tomorrow. I’m taking a weekend class on making a quilted jacket.
We were under a wind warning all day today and the ferries were cancelled, but as far as I know the planes are still running. Pat is due home on the last flight so I hope he makes it.
