I was off to the bee this morning but I didn’t last long. I had some hand stitching that I needed to do so I could get a parcel in the mail but once that was done I packed everything up and came home. I wasn’t feeling well and worried that if I stayed too long I wouldn’t feel like getting to the post office at the end of sewing. I stopped at the post office, came home, crawled into bed and after a three-hour nap I seem to be fine.
I’m so glad that I spend the evening last night working on the card that needed to get in the mail today. It will be a stretch to get it delivered on time but at least there is still a chance. I took another card with me (as well as five Farmer’s Wife blocks) but none of them even came out of their bags.
I had some work to do at Cranberry Hall this afternoon so I took a short trip out. The traffic was horrible. I probably waited five minutes to make a left-hand turn at one of the corners and there was road work going on further along my route. I decided to take a different way home but again was stopped with road construction for about five minutes (those d*!med bike lanes).
While I waited to leave this morning I did a bit of English paper piecing. I was working on my third set of one shape when I realized that the fabrics didn’t match – I had two of one fabric and two of another. Fortunately I have enough of both fabrics to finish off the set of four for each of them. I stopped at Dollarama to pick up some hair clips – I’ve used all my Wonder clips to hold the cut fabrics together and I’m missing them for other projects. The hair clips work just as well and are considerably cheaper.
I’ll work on another card tonight – after I get through a pile of Cranberry Hall stuff – in the hopes that it can go out in the mail tomorrow.
