Lost and Found

Several months ago I misplaced a small plastic case that had several hand stitching essentials in it. The one I was particularly missing was a tool that helped me to thread short ends in through the back of my cross stitch and blackwork. I knew where I last had it in my studio and I looked all over to see where I might have put it but I had no luck.

I assumed maybe I had taken it to Texada but I looked through everything I had in the cupboards and drawers over there but still no luck. Then I got the bright idea that maybe it was in one of my UFO bins. After checking those without any luck I gave up on ever finding it.

When I was getting ready to go to Texada I had all my electric cords packed in a small box that Diane gave me. This box always fits nicely into the bin that is my usual method of transporting things back and forth. But since I was going without a vehicle I decided the cords would fit more easily in my blackwork bin before putting it into my carry-on bag. I took apart my iPad charger and then went on my way.

When I got to Texada I couldn’t find the adapter for my iPad but I was able to charge it from Pat’s computer; I assumed I had merely forgotten to pack up the adaptor. When I got home I looked on the stitching desk and my coffee table but couldn’t find it anywhere. I opened the top of the desk thinking maybe I had put it inside but it wasn’t there. Pat reminded me that I had a drawer in the stitching desk and when I looked inside – there was my case with all my stitching accessories.

Now, if I could just find the adaptor I’d be good.
