What a difference

The Erne Bridge (built in 1885) in Enniskillen, County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland

I have many memories of our trip to Ireland but perhaps one of the strongest is our trip to Enniskillen where the McKnight’s emigrated from in 1836. My great-great grandparents (George & Mary) were married in Enniskillen in 1835.

I was able to talk to my doctor today and the results of the biopsy are in – I do have breast cancer. The surgeon’s office called me a bit later and I have an appointment with him tomorrow. In our first meeting he suggested there was likely a 3-4 week waiting period and I don’t think that has likely changed.

To keep my mind busy I finished the quilting on the two projects I was working on, as well as attaching the binding. We hope to go over to Texada tomorrow if I’m not having to wait for more appointments or calls. I’ll take them, as well as a couple of other projects, to work on while I’m there.

I have a bit more packing up to do so I’ll get that done before supper. I also want to take a few Hall files with me so I can go through them again and get them sorted before my term ends on Sunday.

It was a bit of a surprise to see that without the Hall mail coming to me I only had three messages in my e-mail today. Will I start to feel lonely? I doubt it.
