I had an appointment with the Hall’s accountant at nine this morning; I had a list of errands to run after that so there was no weeding this morning. One of those errands was another trip to the library; I picked up two books but I returned three so I think I’m ahead in the game. I checked my library account and I’m only waiting on one more hold.
We chatted with Kathryn this morning and she was asking about her January time off and if we were sure we’d be home as she and Alex want to come for a visit. That got us talking about other dates. As soon as I was off the phone I started looking at flights.
We have a flight booked to Saskatoon for mid-September; we’ll be there for Alex’s birthday. We’ll be heading to Calgary for Thanksgiving and I’m waiting to hear from Christy about either a trip down there for me or a trip up here for them. It’s just like old times – one trip is seldom finished before I’m booking another one.
I managed to curb my excitement long enough to get at some more quilting this afternoon. The blocks in this section are done and I’ve started filling in some of the spaces around the blocks. I’ll keep at the quilting until after the weekend or until I finish, whichever comes first.
Pat has an online event this evening so I’ll be looking for somewhere cool to do some reading.
