I worked out in the yard this morning. The bed I wanted to concentrate on was in the sun so I spent half my time on it and the other half on a bed that is in the shade. It’s a good thing I have choices. Pat sprayed the patio blocks, sidewalk and driveway with our vinegar and salt solution so instead of smelling my lavender I was thinking of fish and chips while I worked. Everything is so dry; I don’t know why our plants suffer and the weeds just keep on spreading.
I wasn’t really in the mood for quilting this afternoon but I talked myself into doing just a few more blocks. I promised myself I would quit when the bobbin ran out and that darn thing lasted me until just now. It is warm to be quilting but if I hope to be almost finished by the end of the month I have to keep at it.
For now though I’m going to descend a level and read. My current book is about skiing so that should cool me off a little.
