It’s good to be back in the city

Monday

I spent all morning at my computer and continuing to sort through some of the kits and patterns I brought back from Texada. One of the sites that I hoped to be able to use to sell some of the crewel embroidery won’t allow it; I have sold strictly cross stitching things there previously and that is all they want. Someone messaged me regarding another site and I’m jut waiting on confirmation that they will accept the crewel. If they do I may try putting everything on that site so I don’t have to monitor two places.

It was already after one when I remembered that the library closed at two; I had four books to return and another one to pick up. I was hoping the second book I had on order would be ready but it wasn’t so I’ll have to make another trip another day. The door to the library is usually propped open but today it was closed due to a bear in the area; it is so good to be out of the wilderness and back in the city!

For the first time since the pandemic began I actually had to wait outside the library because they were at their people capacity. I have to say I was a little nervous being outside with the “Bear in the Area” sign prominently posted. I didn’t have to wait long though and it was a short visit once I was inside.

On the way home I dropped a bag of cans and bottles at the bottle recyclers. I love their system where you put everything in a bag, put a label on it with your details, and drop if off in the bin they provide. This is my second experience using it and I was in and out in no time at all. In fact I was home again before two.

I have a meeting tonight so I’d better get my notes together for it and maybe there will be enough time to start that new project I found while I was doing my sorting.
