I had all of my Log Cabin quilt blocks finished before lunch. When I crossed those off my list I noticed that two of the next three projects were hand stitching and I was really looking forward to them. At the top of the list was Pat’s accounting but I’ve been asking for his paperwork for a couple of weeks and didn’t even consider it would come until after the handwork tasks were started.
I dropped my books off at the library and then headed for the post office. The letter I had for the mail wasn’t urgent as it won’t go anywhere until Monday but I wanted to see if the mailboxes had been fixed. I’m sure it was in no way related to my complaint but one of them was okay today; I drove off without checking the second one.
From there I went up to the quilt shop. Stacia had told me about a product she uses for taping pieces of batting together. I normally use a zigzag stitch to piece them together but I thought I’d give this newer product a try. I also am getting low on my paper piecing paper so added that to my mental list. I also wanted to look for a thread colour that I never seem to be able to find in stock. I guess one out of three isn’t bad; I managed to get the thread I wanted.
By the time I got home Pat had forwarded me his accounting documents. So my dream of spending a couple of days hand stitching is shattered and I’ll probably spend the next couple of days at my computer.
