It is going to take me awhile to catch up on these blocks but I managed to get one done today (bringing me up to July 2nd/Block 108).
Since March, when not at the studio, I have been amusing myself with a lot of sewing. Generally I have tools that stay at home and tools that go with me when I go to a Guild bee, a class, or my Thursday sewing group. When I moved my quilting machine home from Texada I brought along a few tools that I use with it. I’ve randomly taken tools from several different carriers and now I’ve got to try and get them sorted into the right places again.
I’m taking my sewing machine to the studio the next time around. I am taking part in a couple of sew-alongs and I’m going to get too far behind if I don’t get started on them now. One of the patterns uses jelly rolls so there was no cutting involved; the other one involved some cutting and I got that done today.
I have my bin with the two projects (and some extra fabric); I’ve set aside the thread that I think I’ll be needing (along with some extras). I set aside some rulers to take and hopefully those, along with the ones that I think remain at the studio, will be all I need. Since I don’t know what the instructions for either pattern will be I need to be sure I have all my tools with me.
We finally have nice day and I need to get out and cut the boulevard but I haven’t done that yet. I have a Cranberry Hall meeting tonight and, although most of my prep work is done, I have a few things I need to read and be ready to comment on.
