Week 9 – Day Three

Illinois

Today’s block finishes at 18″ – it took me all morning and felt like I was making a small quilt. A few of blocks of that size will make a good table topper, although I hope blocks of that size are few and far between. I did a quick scan of the index on the calendar and I saw at least one 20″ so I guess this one isn’t the biggest in the lot but it is the biggest so far. I had to dip into some yardage to get the amounts I needed – some of Diane’s and some of my own.

Although today was to have been a day to work on my scrap projects I decided to go ahead and add the three pieced borders that were left on my UFO Challenge for May. Just two more borders to add and I can call it a flimsy.

Arriving just in time for a couple of scrap project days my order from Amazon appeared today; it wasn’t due until the 21st so I wasn’t even anticipating it’s arrival. Inside were ten shoebox containers so I can sub-sort my scrap drawers – a project for another day.
