Not exactly as planned

You’d think when you get up at six (after being awake since four) you’d accomplish a lot in the day.

My plan was to get at some cutting for my Saskatoon sewing projects so I could get another free parcel ready for the mail on Tuesday. There were a number of last-minute texts regarding the Hall reno just before, during and after my Guild meeting last night so I thought I should take care of that. It was still early though so I still had lots of time for my plan.

As a result of the Guild meeting last night there were a number of items that needed to be put out on Facebook and sent to several groups around town. The Guild, in an attempt to get more members or just accumulate more funds, have decided to open our demos and classes to non-members. The Program list had to be retyped so as to eliminate any Guild-only days. I haven’t done the postings on Facebook (5 different groups) or sent the information out to four other groups but I think the paperwork is done.

Tickets were also on my list for today – for both Cranberry Hall and Pat Buckna Presents. I took the Cranberry Hall tickets to the newspaper office – they will sell them for us. While I was out doing that I stopped at a Guild member’s house to pick up the Membership information that I should have brought home last night. I didn’t have to stay for tea but I did. On my way home I remembered that I had promised another Guild member that I would pick up some colour catchers for her at Safeway; one of our members brought them to Show and Tell last night. I knew they would sell out fast and after I picked up one box for myself and one for Annie there were just two left.

I decided that the day wasn’t going as planned so I finished more work for the Hall and for the Guild. I’m heading off to a Hall meeting shortly so no doubt there will be more to do tomorrow.

I did manage to get 42 layer cakes (10″ squares) cut and ready for mailing so I guess something went as planned.
