My clean-up went well yesterday but there is still work to do. How is it that once I had my cutting table cleared and moved on to my working surface my cutting table all of a sudden was cluttered again? One day everything will have a proper place and several days/months/years later everything will be in that proper place. Until now I continue to work around the room and hope that with each turn I make some sort of improvement.
The show at the Hall last night went well in spite of the renovations. It was a comedy show, which really isn’t my “thing”; a couple of performers (out of five) weren’t too bad. We had a pretty full house and kept having to add more tables and chairs. We did okay on the concession as well – almost $90 just from cold drinks and tea. I guess the hot weather is good for sales.
The morning just slipped away – most of it was spent at my computer. I did most of my running around before heading off to my afternoon of sewing. I hadn’t worked on my project for three weeks and I was slow to figure out just where I was in the process. Gail sorted me out and I’ve left her all the blocks so she can arrange them in a somewhat pleasing manner. If I don’t like what she’s done I can always change it, but placing blocks together is another of my “least favourite” things to do (I have several least favourites it appears).
I’m off to my 100+ Women Who Care meeting in a few minutes. I enjoy finding out who the potential recipients are much more than I enjoy listening to them make their pitch; I’ve usually made up my mind about who I want to support after reading the ballot.
In my tidying up I came across two boxes in the hallway between my two rooms. One is the tuffet kit I purchased this spring in Vancouver but what is in the other one? It is an amazon box and I can’t imagine what I might have ordered that had so little appeal that I didn’t rip it open immediately.
I’d open it right now except Pat says there are humpback whales out on the ocean so I’m going to go have a look.
