I think my vacation worked

I had a terrific day at the bee. I worked on cards all day but I accomplished a lot.

The card I started last week but couldn’t finish because I had done the cutting wrong is finished and quilted. That particular card really included a bit of everything – some appliqué work, some embroidery, and some free-motion quilting.

Next I quilted the paper-pieced card top I made last week. It is all ready to be sent out to someone with a birthday next month.

And I remembered the right book for another card package. The focus on this one was curves and, if I do say so myself, I think I did a good job. So good in fact that I’m going to try sewing Deloise’s Farmer’s Daughter block by machine. No to worry though Deloise, I have lots of fabric to make a second one by hand.

I stopped at the Hall on the way home. The renovations are progressing well. We have a show in there tomorrow night (not Friday as I thought) so they will have to do some tidying up before then.

It was just a quick stop at Walmart and I was home before three. I love those days where things move along quickly – or maybe I’m just rested and it is me who is moving more quickly.
