This card was an experiment. I wanted to try a Disappearing 4-Patch block and I thought a card would be small enough to get the idea of how it looks. It turns out you really can make a block too small.

I started by making a simple, but small, 4-Patch block. When I decided that one block wouldn’t be enough I made three more. Each of the blocks were sliced and diced and then put back together.

Partly due to the fabric choices I made and partly because the pieces are so small you really don’t get the overall effect. I’ll have to try it again sometime!
