This was a more productive day than yesterday – but then how could it not be?
Pat and I got the living room set up for the concert tonight and then I headed off to the bee. I took four of my Splendid Sampler 2 blocks to work on and came home with one finish; I ran out of time or had problems with the other three. One of them I sewed the pieces together wrong and didn’t have any fabric with me to make the correction; one was using fusible appliqué and I left my appliqué sheet at home; on the third one I ran out of time but I managed to get several pieces cut. Two of those three blocks were using templates – I hate templates!
I brought home the last of the donated door prizes today. I’ll start putting baskets together tomorrow when our guests leave for Texada. I think I may have to purchase some bags or nice boxes to put some of the door prizes in. I had a lot of large wicker baskets donated when I planned to do only one door prize each day but because people have been so generous I think I’ll have to do more than that.
Our house guests are out exploring the town and enjoying the sunshine. One of them is celiac so we thought it might be easier (and safer) to take them out for dinner.
