I had a lovely, quiet weekend (and more) at the studio. I planned to work on some Christmas ornaments but when I went to my cupboard I couldn’t find them. Generally I keep my cross stitch and needlepoint at the studio and sewing, knitting and crochet at home in Powell River. I guess the last time I was on Texada I thought (silly me) that I would have time to work on the ornaments at home. I have now located said ornaments and as the calendar moves along I may need to find time to work on them quite soon. I wasn’t without work though as the Princess is always needing more work. I got a good chunk done but no matter how many hours I spend at it I don’t feel a whole lot closer to being done.
We stuck quite close to home while on Texada; we went out for dinner one night, out to a Variety Show another night, and out for breakfast one morning. I kept referring to the Variety Show as a Talent Show – I couldn’t have been more wrong! I admire the folks who were on stage, but we couldn’t take any more and left before it was over. The evening wasn’t a complete wipe-out though as I won a door prize.
I had a lot of catching up to do when I got home – e-mail, errands, and Cranberry Hall work. I was able to plough through it all quite quickly and had some time this afternoon to cut out some projects for the bee tomorrow.
My book was due back at the library and I went prepared with the names of two other books I wanted. I also picked up another Ann Cleeves book; I just watched season three of Shetland and couldn’t resist looking for another of her books.
I’ll do a bit of tidying up in my sewing room and then I’m off to hand stitch the last (hopefully) Farmer’s Daughter block.
