Normally, on Monday, I set my goals for the week, clean up my cutting table, sort through some scraps and get projects ready for the Tuesday bee. When that is done I pick a project to work on for the rest of the day. Today was nothing like that.
I had several bags of cash from various Cranberry Hall events that needed to be prepared for a deposit. We’ve been taking memberships for the Hall so I had to record all the names and addresses so they will be ready for our first mail-out blitz. While I was at it I did a bit more organizing for the Hall, mainly for my own satisfaction. It was past ten before I was ready to head out to the bank. I had a few other errands to run while I was out so it was close to noon before I was home.
I have been working on a card that should have gone out in today’s mail but it wasn’t ready; the push for the rest of the afternoon was to get it done. It still isn’t ready to be put in an envelope but I should be able to (in fact I’ll stay up tonight until I’m able to) get it ready for the mail tomorrow.
The day started out with showers but the afternoon has been sunny with a breeze so I decided I’d go out and get the grass on the boulevard cut. It too needs some trimming around the fence but it certainly looks better than it did yesterday. It turns out that my problem with the mower yesterday was operator error! I recharged the batteries and put them in place this afternoon. Before I dragged the mower down the steps to the boulevard I tried starting it but nothing happened. I called Pat down to look at the machine and I was using the wrong sequence to start it. I did it fine yesterday for our lawn but it appears that in the time it took to get the mower to the boulevard I had forgotten how it was supposed to be done. Clearly resting my brain overnight didn’t do the trick either!
I have one more stop to make on Cranberry Hall business this afternoon. Sometime between now and bedtime I need to find some projects to work on tomorrow at the bee.
