I’m not sure where this book came from but most likely from Kathryn, and perhaps via Regan as well. I love having readers in the family.

The book is divided into two parts. The first part takes place in 1956 in the days before and after a young boy, Jimmy, has disappeared. His sister, Rose, and Lewis are his only friends and, because of a missed meeting, neither of them know what happened.

The second part of the book begins seven years later when Jimmy’s body has been discovered in a bomb shelter on a neighbour’s property. As Rose and Lewis re-unite, they piece together what probably happened to Jimmy.
