The movie is based on a Phillip Roth novel that I currently have on loan from the library. It isn’t a big book but I just didn’t have time to read it before the show.

I didn’t know what to expect because the trailers didn’t give much away. The acting was excellent and the story ended before I wanted it to. What seemed like a surprise ending was, in fact, foretold in the opening scenes.
