I read this off my iPad during our recent trip. I like reading a “real” book much better, but perhaps it is just the content of the books on my device that puts me off.

I enjoyed this story of a middle-aged woman who is fulfilling a promise to her late father to take care of her mother who suffers from Alzheimer’s. Although fictional I expect her bursts of love and hate are very similar to what many caregivers must feel. Her thoughts regarding her mother intrigued me – Do her dreams make sense? Does she even miss her husband? There is no happy ending here but the story is told with humour.
