I always try to find an aquarium-themed card for Ray and one of my friends passed me a copy of a pattern she found. I set it aside, knowing I’d make it this year for Ray. When I got the pattern out I realized there was an important page missing – I didn’t have any cutting instructions.

I’d just finished a drafting tutorial at the Guild so I decided to try my hand at making my own pattern. I drafted it on a small scale just to verify that I could do it, and then I drafted it on a larger scale.

I had to restart almost every block at least once, but I’m pleased with the end result.
