I’ve thought about it for a long time; I’ve dreaded it for just as long. But today was the day – at least the day I got it started.
No, not another quilting, knitting or crochet pattern. I’ve started cleaning out my filing cabinet. It has been at least three years since I’ve done it so there are three years of paper for Pat, myself, my company, and Pat’s company. Sadly most of it needs to be shredded because it has signatures, account numbers or other confidential information. I have all the old paperwork pulled out of the cabinet and I have a pile of paper that I know has to be shredded, as well as several accordion folders pulled from the cabinet that will need to be sorted and, probably, shredded.
The good news is that I have a friend who wants all the shredded paper. I think she intends to use it for composting but I didn’t ask too many questions. I’m just glad to be rid of it.
