I started my day catching up on my own paperwork. The past couple of paperwork days were spent on some group items so it was nice to more-or-less empty my basket today. I sorted through and printed some travel and accommodation confirmations for our trip and, as you can see, I did a bit of work on my website. I’m hoping over the summer to move it all to a different theme and look, but I want to have all the bits done that were ignored from the last update. My first Cranberry Hall board meeting went fine last night but there is very little for me to do until I gain access to some of their files. With great trepidation I moved on to some Arts Council work and have myself somewhat organized for our next meeting.
My afternoon was free and I could have done some stitching but I worked on drafting a pattern instead. Carola gave me a copy of a pattern a long time ago but when I dug it out last night it was missing some essential information – like the cutting instructions. I asked Carola about it but, although she remembered the pattern, she had no idea where the magazine might be. She looked in a couple of spots before I told her not to worry about it.
So this afternoon I got out my pencil, eraser (very important) and my ruler and started drafting. I think the pattern is okay, but it will still be a big challenge to do the actual sewing. It is drawn to scale and the finished piece will be 10″ square; I have lots of the fabric I’ll be using so I can make a few mistakes before I have to give up.
