Tidying up

I feel like I’ve been busy all day but I have virtually nothing to show for it. With the shopping trip and my immediate plans to make some of the things I spent a lot of time on the computer researching fabrics. That has been sorted out now but so far I haven’t placed an order. I did place an order for a book using the gift card Christy gave me for Mother’s Day. I had a few e-mails back and forth from Staples over the weekend regarding our Guild recipe book so I got the information for that sent off and the order has been placed. That itself is a load off my desk but until I see it in my own hands and see that they did it right I’ll be worried.

I did some quick unpacking on Monday night and today I did some putting-away. I recorded all my Farmer’s Wife blocks and put them away in their storage box. Just a few more to go until I can put up a photo of 80 completed. I pulled more fabric for the few that I had to revisit after the weekend; I have to use completely different fabric combinations for some of them because what I have left at the moment are small scraps and I don’t have enough of some of the fabrics to correct my mistakes.

I started to post photos of my Splendid Sampler blocks but I still had one that I stitched together wrong. I fixed that and added all but two to my album. While I was doing that I noticed that I missed making one of the blocks; I searched my cards but it doesn’t seem to have been used yet and I couldn’t find a photo of it so I guess it didn’t happen. It isn’t the only one I’m missing but I’ll just make sure it’s added to the undone pile.

I’m attending my first board meeting for the Cranberry Hall tonight. I’ve been assured that as Treasurer I won’t be faced with as many “issues” as I’ve had with the Arts Council. We’ll see.

I’m ready to start a new knitting project tonight. I’m excited because it is a new project with new yarn for one of my grandchildren. I’m a little tired of knitting just to use up leftover yarn.
