I first started listening to As It Happens when I lived in Fort Smith. I’ve listened frequently over the years since then; now I often listen to their rebroadcast at midnight on CBC Radio.

I remember the time period when Mary Lou Findlay was the host of the show. Her book gives credit to all the folks behind-the-scenes who were also responsible for its popularity. I could even recall some of the interviews she recreates in the book.
