Mia, the daughter of a judge, has been kidnapped. Colin, her kidnapper, has whisked her away rather than turn her over to the men he is working for. The story is told from the point of view of Colin, Mia’s mother, and the detective working to solve the case.

I expected a twist at the end, but I never would have guessed what the author had in store.
